Well another year is coming to an end. Now is the time to reflect upon New Year’s resolutions from the previous year and spend some time coming up with new ones. While all of us at Altus Dynamics are looking forward to the start of 2015, I wanted to take the time to reflect on what a fantastic year 2014 was for us. We moved into new offices, re-designed our company website, embraced The Cloud even more, added many new customers and had several major product releases. Here are some of our highlights of 2014:
With over 100 attendees from clients and prospects to Microsoft executives – our annual conference Altus Alliance is definitely a highlight for us every year. Following attendee feedback, we moved location to the heart of downtown Toronto. We had impressive keynotes from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and Microsoft. We saw an increased interest is Dynamics CRM both at the sessions and at the hands-on labs. We launched the latest version of our Dynamics NAV based ERP solution. Most encouraging of all, 100% of the attendees surveyed said they would consider attending in future!
Speaking of Alliance - registration for Alliance 2015 is already open. In the same downtown location as last year and taking place on February 26th – 27th. Every year Alliance grows – don’t miss out this year - register now!
For almost 10 years Altus Dynamics HQ was located in Liberty Village – which was a great place to be. The only problem was: space. As we continued to grow, our office started to become a little cramped and when we ran out of desks that was when we knew we had to move! So, Altus Dynamics made the move to a bright, open concept work space in West Toronto. To read more about our new office location, read the full blog about it here.
Altus Dynamics ERP Releases
We are continually enhancing and improving our ERP solution in response to changes in technology, project requirements and customer feedback. One such example happened back in August, when we released version 07.04 of our ERP product, with new additions like enhanced location scheduling, T4A Tax Forms through the Web Apps, Purchase Document Posting in Detail, Electronic Funds Transfer Enhancements as well as updated Altus Employee Web Apps. We have been involved in The Cloud for many years. In fact, back in 2012, we were a finalist for Microsoft’s Cloud Partner of the Year. In 2014 we further embraced The Cloud, moving to Office 365, Exchange Online and Cloud hosting services ourselves. For our clients, we made big investments in solutions like CRM Online as well as public Cloud (Microsoft Azure) versions of our ERP to compliment the private cloud in place at clients like The CNE. 2015 will see this accelerate.
Altus Dynamics Donor Engage
Since its launch, we have seen great interest in our donation management solution, built inside Microsoft Dynamics CRM. People love how it builds on the powerful data management platform of Dynamics CRM, augmenting it with specific features and functionality organizations need to do a better job managing and raising donations. As website technology continued to advance, the Marketing Team here at Altus Dynamics had a growing list of ‘wants’ for the website. Responsive design, optimized for touch scrolling, social sharing, improved video display, better content visibility etc. Read The Marketing Teams full blog talking about the transition from the old to new website.
Towards the end of 2014, Microsoft released Dynamics CRM 2015. With it Microsoft has truly begun to break down the silos between departments within organizations. They’ve created a solution that allows everyone access to the same information creating one version of the truth. With features like campaign management and social listening this is the tool for non-profits and we are very excited to harness its new capabilities for our customers.

Altus Employee Portals (AEP) Rebrand
The way people are interacting with technology is changing. How employees access information is increasingly containing a mobile element and the terminology is changing along with it. The term App is now a common method to refer to a program that can run on phones, tablets and computers. With this shift in mindset, we felt it was time to modernize the name of our product – Altus Employee Portals. Thus, we moved to a new product name and logo – Employee Web Apps. Same great functionality and benefits, only the name has changed. Learn more about our rebrand of the product here.
Some of Our New Clients
Our company continues to grow, here are a small selection of our new customer additions in 2014:
And finally, for 2015 we’ll see The Cloud and the Azure platform making a big impact on our business and solution offering. The services, price points and technology are now in place to offer robust, public cloud versions of Altus Dynamics NAV-based solutions augmenting our online offerings in CRM, Web Apps and Office 365.
