The United Church of Canada is the largest Protestant church in Canada, with over 2 million members. In late 2014 it started looking for a new donation management solution to replace its current donation management tool. The Church needed a replacement solution to enable better engagement with constituents and to manage its donations, while gaining additional functionality around volunteer and grant management.
Through a selection process, The United Church of Canada compared several solutions including Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge. Eventually it selected Altus Dynamics as its solution provider and our Donor Engage solution, built within Dynamics CRM, as the solution that could manage the fundraising capabilities it was looking for.
“Having experience with a donation management tool, UCC were aware of the types of features and functionality it needed to carry out fundraising.” says James Faw, CTO, Altus Dynamics “However a platform like Microsoft Dynamics CRM, upon which Donor Engage is built offered greater flexibility and opened up more possibilities.”
With Donor Engage, The Church gain productivity improvements such as the user-friendly interface, the ability to get information faster from the views or dashboards and unlimited data drill down as well as integration to Outlook. All of these features and more will help with easier communication and workflows for successful donation processing.
By using both Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Donor Engage, The United Church of Canada can increase its relationships with over 2 million members and ideally increase contributions to The Church and its foundation. It will also benefit from;
- Centralization of contacts in a single solution
- Flexibility with customizable views, dashboards and screens
- Out of the box marketing and payment processing
- Out of the box mobility for remote staff
- Freedom to choose Cloud or on-Premise deployments and the ability to switch
