Futurpreneur, formally the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, is an organization that helps young individuals with a solid business plan get financing and access to expert advice – bringing great business ideas to life and forming better communities. As part of Futurpreneur’s long term strategic plan, they wanted to implement a new solution that would allow them to help more young entrepreneurs and provide better insight into company information as a whole.
Futurpreneur engaged consulting firm, Accenture, who conducted a comprehensive analysis of organizations offering solutions that met their requirements. Following their analysis, Altus Dynamics was recommended – as a company specializing in non-profit sector technology and a history of improving communities with their solutions – it was ultimately the right fit for Futurpreneur.
The Altus Dynamics ERP solution will provide them with the integration across applications that they are looking for. With Microsoft Dynamics NAV at the core of the solution, integration is built in at a base code level ensuring smooth information flow. Outside of the Dynamics’ family, other products in the Microsoft suite such as Outlook, SharePoint, Office 365, among others, also integrate seamlessly. To further improve work efficiency, staff will benefit from in built ‘role centres’. These ‘role centres’ allow Futurpreneur to assign different security levels and features to each individual user, controlling what information is displayed and minimising one-size fits all user experiences.
Augmenting the capabilities of NAV, advanced reporting will be offered by Altus Dynamics’ partner Jet Reports. Already installed by many customers of Altus Dynamics, Jet Reports will provide the powerful integrated reporting required by Futurpreneur.
Futurpreneur Canada will be implementing Altus Dynamics NAV 2013, as well as Altus Dynamics Employee Portals, with an expected go live date of late 2014 for both implementations.
