CCNM-LogoWith an entirely new accounting solution implemented and live in less than six months, The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine can start 2015 off on the right foot with more efficient processes and improved insight for better planning for the future of the organization.

Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a dynamic and in-demand college with over 550 students a year as well as a clinic that sees over 26,000 patients annually needed a more robust accounting solution that would meet the needs of their growing college for today and into the future. IT staff at the college were looking for simplicity in technology giving synergy with their productivity tools like Office, Exchange and SharePoint. Accounting staff wanted to look for ways to transfer time from unnecessary clerical tasks and maintaining spreadsheets to analytical work. Budget managers needed tools that would give them more accountability and autonomy with fluid budget planning.

In under six months, The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine worked through replacing their legacy accounting system and a third party procurement tool, while improving key accounting processes with Altus Dynamics ERP including Employee Web Apps, all powered by Microsoft Dynamics.

Benefits the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine can expect are:

  • An accounting solution with education and non-profit industry capabilities that is intuitive, keeps staff productive and IT staff happy from streamlined inter-operative and out of the box capabilities with Office, Exchange, Azure and SharePoint.

  • Eliminated shadow spreadsheets from integrated budget planning and forecasting keeping budget managers involved, engaged and accountable and the accounting staff happy with faster budget planning.

  • Integrated budgetary control increasing accuracy while reducing the unnecessary manual effort in approvals.

  • Accounting and budget managers stay informed and save time by being able to view any linked or scanned document from anywhere at any time.

By leveraging a Microsoft Dynamics solution and working with a Partner invested in the Education industry, the College can now consider integrating other aspects of their operations with extended solutions like Student Recruiting, HR and Payroll suite also offered by Altus Dynamics.
