Well another year is coming to an end. Now is the time to reflect upon New Year’s resolutions from the previous year and spend some time coming up with new ones. While all of us at Altus Dynamics are looking forward to the start of 2015, I wanted to take the time to reflect on what a fantastic year 2014 was for us. We moved into new offices, re-designed our company website, embraced The Cloud even more, added many new customers and had several major product releases. Here are some of our highlights of 2014:
Futurpreneur, formally the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, is an organization that helps young individuals with a solid business plan get financing and access to expert advice – bringing great business ideas to life and forming better communities. As part of Futurpreneur’s long term strategic plan, they wanted to implement a new solution that would allow them to help more young entrepreneurs and provide better insight into company information as a whole.
The Robin Hood Association operates 4 major facilities and 41 residential group homes. With such a large network of locations, they identified the benefits to be gained from a solution to house all of their client data, as a means of improving service delivery. Following the positive results gained from their existing Altus Dynamics solution, the Robin Hood Association engaged Altus Dynamics to provide a CRM solution that met their needs and an implementation team that could deliver.
Microsoft has demonstrated its commitment to the data privacy and security of its enterprise Cloud services (Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics CRM online, and Windows Intune), receiving validation for the security of it’s Cloud services. All 28 national Data Protection Authorities that regulate companies with operations in the European Union have published a letter validating that Microsoft has included the proper contractual terms in their enterprise Cloud services (you can view the letter here).
Educational media organization, TV Ontario (TVO) is now live on their new Altus Dynamics ERP solution. This new system provides them with state-of-the-art accounting and financial management capability to collect, process, analysis and report on the finances of the organization. Hundreds of non-core users have been granted secure role specific access to data and functionality such as expense or purchase requests via their new online employee self service portals.
The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) is one of ten unique, northern Ontario quasi-municipal entities created to deliver social services in the District of Kenora, covering a jurisdiction of approximately 400,000 sq.km. KDSB and its partners strive to support the district's individuals, families and communities helping them reach their full potential through the provision of people services, enabling healthier lives and contributing to caring communities. In order to deliver on that mission they began searching for an updated ERP system and an experienced solutions partner to implement it, eventually selecting Altus Dynamics.
When Altus Dynamics was founded over 10 years ago, its focus was on providing financial management and ERP solutions for clients such as Waterloo Catholic District School Board and the Vancouver Olympics. Over the years that offering expanded to include specific functionality created by Altus Dynamics to meet the needs of the non-profit and public sector as well as SharePoint-based employee portals. However it has been the CRM practice that has undergone the greatest expansion in the last number of years. The flexibility and continued development of the platform by Microsoft, now used in over 40,000 organizations worldwide, has opened the door to a wide range of applications and opportunities as well as demonstrated to customers the power of this constituent relationship management solution.
Every year CIO Review Magazine assesses hundreds of solution providers worldwide and shortlisted the ones that are at the forefront of tackling challenges faced by their industries. Vendors are assessed on a range of criteria including capability to fulfill the needs of the sector, bringing the gap between finance operations and IT and the supply of a variety of services that support core business processes, including innovation areas related to Cloud, mobile, Saas, PaaS and ERP, Big Data and analytics, mobility and social media.
Every year around this time Microsoft Dynamics Convergence creates a lot of buzz and new product offerings, solution updates and news from Microsoft on the performance of Dynamics. 2014 is no different delivering exciting news on the sales performance of Dynamics. Microsoft Business Solutions division executive vice president, Kirill Tatarinov showcased a 10% revenue growth for Microsoft Dynamics in 2013.
