Action Group sees the value of integrated HR, Payroll, Employee Scheduling and Accounting

Posted by Colin Dickinson on Jul 2, 2015 1:08:00 PM

action-groupAction Group, an Alberta-based social services organization, made a strategic decision and chose Altus Dynamics to provide their enterprise needs for Accounting, HR, Payroll and Employee Scheduling. Operating in the social services sector for over 30 years, they provide key services to the community by supporting adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Action Group were facing increasing challenges with scheduling of employees across multiple locations, managing complex rules around positions, shifts and locations, while delivering important services and programs to individuals in their community. Today, with multiple systems managing key processes (including ACCPAC for accounting and many shadow Excel spreadsheets), Action Group was challenged by data duplication, data entry, reporting, effective employee scheduling, and error-prone payroll processing for multiple position rules.

As a social services organization, they require complex scheduling tools that can ensure staff are properly scheduled across many locations for specific programs, with alternating scheduling and flexible pay structures. The Altus Dynamics ERP solution for social services was able to match their needs, harnessing the power of the base Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 platform and powerful employee self-service tools enhanced with the features and functionality they needed for better facilitation of their processes. Once live, in late 2014, they will have a solution which will improve their operational efficiencies and services they provide to their communities.
